We are proud to have had a big role in several projects with Tandem Construction for IMG Academy. As the world’s premier destination for athletic and performance development, IMG Academy continues to focus on ways to improve and expand its on-campus offerings. This time, we expanded the East Campus in Bradenton, Florida, to add new, state-of-the-art tennis and basketball complexes, office space, guard house, and a hall of fame. With almost 200 drafting hours, over 8,000 shop hours, and 5,400 field hours, Trident Building Systems’ team delivered and erected 2 pre-engineered buildings—A 38,148 sq ft tennis complex and a 45,298 sq ft basketball, totaling to 83,446 sq ft. with a center core bridging the two buildings that required an additional 457 tons of structural steel. Trident also manufactured and installed our 24 gauge SurLok roof panel system over our g90 galvanized purlins and eave struts. Completed in December 2021, this structure is also designed to withstand a category 4 hurricane with a wind load of 160 mph.
Due to the size and location of the building, this massive construction project across the street from Bayshore High School had heads turning as Trident Building Systems was required to bring in a 600-ton crane for its reach to complete this job.
